Job Title: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, SYNDICATION MARKETING

Reporting to: Vice President, Marketing, US Distribution

DESCRIPTION:

Based in Culver City, the Executive Director will be responsible for leading the marketing strategy and execution of creative initiatives to build brand awareness and drive viewership of SPT’s first-run, off-net and library series. This role will serve as a primary liaison to affiliate stations and will provide critical marketing strategy and support for the U.S. Syndication Sales team.

The Executive Director will establish strong, cross-functional relationships across Media, Global Creative, U.S Distribution, Publicity, Research, Digital and Legal teams, as well as external vendors.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter that is hands-on, capable of managing all of the syndication business, aligned with the division’s business strategies.

RESPONSIBILITES:

• Develop and produce multi-platform marketing campaigns across on-air, digital, social media, OOH, radio and print.
• Serve as primary liaison to affiliate stations; partner with local news and promotion departments to execute cross-promotional opportunities; manage all station requests for promo materials and assets.
• Collaborate with Syndication Sales team to secure station clearances, renewals and upgrades through affiliate relations and marketing strategies
• Create all sales materials inclusive of sizzle reels, presentation decks and trade ads
• Partner with local news and promo departments to execute cross-promotional opportunities
• Strategize with Media team to craft paid media campaigns for key tv series to drive sweeps and other pulse points utilizing show ratings, research and audience analytics. Evaluate post-performance data to ensure ROI goals are met.
• Negotiate co-op dollars and on-air commitments with stations
• Spearhead production of marketing sessions and materials in support of annual markets: NATPE, PROMAX and NAB

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS REQUIRED:

• BA in Marketing or related field
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Entertainment industry; Syndication Marketing experience is a must
• Excellent written and presentation skills
• Proficient at time management
• Strong project management skills
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Possesses high standards of professionalism and leadership
