Meet the Budapest Bluetooth SDK Development team

The Wireless SDK Development team at Silicon Labs Budapest creates the Bluetooth SDK, and the Bluetooth Mesh SDK. We create the Bluetooth frameworks with sample applications and build tools for our customers such as our Bluetooth Configurator, Radio Configurator or the Bluetooth protocol sniffer which allows our customers to debug their wireless devices. We also create the development flows in Simplicity Studio (Silicon Labs IDE) for the above-mentioned SDKs.

The Opportunity

In this role you will be part of the Bluetooth SDK engineering team, working closely together with the SDK and Tooling developers. Your job will be developing scalable, state of the art automation solutions to our current processes and improving the efficiency of our current automations. You’re the perfect candidate if you share our team’s enthusiasm for high quality software and if you want to make an impact on the Bluetooth embedded SW products and the related SW Tooling.

What You Will Do

• Find innovative solutions to improve our engineering team’s efficiency
• Oversee and ensure timely software releases
• Support and improve tools for continuous build, automated testing and release management
• Innovate and integrate new processes and/or technology to significantly add value
• Continuously evaluate and improve existing CI/CD/Test pipelines and processes
• Understand the build process and identify bottleneck areas for improvement
• Troubleshoot and debug build issues with a willingness to resolve problems quickly
• Administration and ownership of
  • Jenkins Jobs
  • Jira automation
  • Docker infrastructure
• Collaborate with other DevOps team members across the globe

• BSc or MSc degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering/Computer Science
• Scripting languages – Python, Bash, batch
• Proficiency with cross platform scripting (Linux, Mac and Windows)
• Markup languages – JSON, YAML, XML, XSD
• Git
• Jenkins
• Docker
• Linux, Raspberry PI
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills (English also)

• Experience with the full software development life cycle including requirements, design, implementation, testing and documentation
• Experience with unit test / hardware test / simulation / code coverage / static code analysis
• C/C++
• AWS
