Job Description

Visa is looking for a Financial Analyst to join the LAC Billing Operations Team in Miami. The Billing Operations Team is responsible for managing the various billing related systems and ensuring all transactions are processed in a timely and accurate manner. The Financial Analyst is responsible for all aspects of the clients billing and accounting activities, ensuring timeliness, accuracy of inputs/outputs relating to member billing activities. This hands-on role requires strong accounting as well as business acumen with the desire and ability to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and performance of the function.

This position requires the ability to learn quickly, work independently, address problems expertly in a fast-paced environment and you will be required to work effectively with both external and internal clients.

  • Essential Functions
  • Establish and maintains relationships across a broad base of stakeholders and serves as a key point of contact for Billing Ops issues
  • Perform setup in the Billing (VGBP) system and all its related databases
  • Analyze newly executed contracts to assess appropriate billing and accounting implications
  • Support the wider Billing Ops team as needed
  • Support ad-hoc analysis and projects, as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the local statutory laws
  • Responsible for all inquiries and issues resolution
  • Support business partners and IT to define comprehensive requirements to drive billing system solutions. Execute User Acceptance Testing process and validation of system changes
  • Support and review LAC Fees Schedules based on approved pricing and coordinate with stakeholders to post content on Visa Online tool

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

 Basic Qualifications
- 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)
 Preferred Qualifications
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
- Advanced skills in MS Excel
- Proficient with other MS Office applications such as Word and Power Point
- Prior experience with Cognos, MicroStrategy reporting tool and Oracle Financials is a plus
- Experience/exposure to multiple Latin American and Caribbean countries and macro environments is a plus
- Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate results with Business Partners
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams and produce and coordinate time sensitive deliverables
- Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment with changing priorities
- Detail-oriented with proven ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to perform under pressure with tight deadlines in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment to drive results
- Self-motivated and be willing to utilize and learn new technology to solve problems
- Excellent organization, prioritization, and multi-tasking skills
- Accounting and analytical/analysis skills
- Fluency in English and Spanish is a Must. Portuguese is a plus
