About The Role The Project Manager, Video is an integral part of the Interactive marketing team. You will help build and organize our project management system as well as serve as the link between internal cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, product and more. You will be responsible for the project management of various time-based media projects: video, animation, and audio podcasts. As a Project Manager for the Video team,, you will work closely with filmmakers, art directors, writers, editors, animators, agencies, and project stakeholders to manage the project lifecycle of all video (time-based media) projects. As well as act as the liaison between the video team and internal stakeholders.
What You Will Do:
- Using Asana project management software, you manage project requests; clarifying project scopes, building out tasks, timelines, and assigning tasks to full-time and freelance members of the video team
- Facilitate bi-weekly team meetings, develop project plans and proactively monitor progress to ensure that all full-time & freelance members of the video team are on board with delegated tasks
- Conduct and/or support effective meetings with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, providing accurate and concise deliverables, timelines, and clear expectations
- Act as point of contact for stakeholders throughout project life-cycles providing frequent status updates regarding project milestones, risks, and deliverable status.
- Highlight potential risks and act proactively to resolve issues
- Generate periodic project status reports to be presented to stakeholders
- Collaborate with the wider program management team by helping to build a strategic approach to project management best practices and workflow improvements throughout the Confluent marketing organization
- Continually improving the project management process for the video team from stakeholder feedback
What You Will Bring:
- 3-5 years experience in managing projects for video / animation production
- Superior problem-solving skills and high attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to receive and delegate direction, with a service orientation, and maintain a strong sense of organization
- Project Management Yoda - you are a seasoned samurai when it comes to Project Management software - preferably Asana
What Gives You An Edge:
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud; Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe AfterEffects and video production process

- You possess strong interpersonal, communication, and critical thinking skills with a collaborative spirit.
- Experience as a producer or video editor is a plus
- Strong knowledge with time-based media (video/animation/audio) pre-production, production, and post-production process
