As the Product Manager for the Digital Workplace Engineering team within IT Solutions, you will play a key role in the success of diverse solutions that enable success for thousands of Splunkers all over the world. You will be responsible for driving the overall vision, roadmap, and product features we deliver for our diverse set of partners. You will need to use your technical expertise and deep experience in delivering service enablement using Agile methodologies as a Product Owner for this position. To be successful you will have to balance priorities, understand end-user customers, collaborate with senior leaders, and present to executives while defining detailed functional requirements, delivering within an agile delivery framework, and supervising key performance indicators.

This position requires you to be a self-starter with the ability to take ownership, work with timelines, handle various tasks simultaneously while continuing to develop positive work culture. In addition, great verbal communication and written documentation skills are critical for this role. Will you join us?

What you'll do: Yeah, I want to and can do that.

  • Represent the team as the main interface for collaboration with internal business partners and actively engage with them to ensure delivery is aligned with business needs and the product vision.
  • Partner with other product managers, development managers and technical leads across the organization to align strategies, roadmaps, priorities, dependencies, and releases to mitigate risks and issues.
  • Actively network with key industry contacts to understand standard methodologies and emerging trends for the domain and how they can be used within the company.
  • Define and standardize Key Performance Indicators that will help aid in the decision-making process and showcase results.
  • Manage the product backlog to ensure the highest business value is being delivered to our customers.
  • Author technical service requirements in the form of user stories and acceptance criteria for varying business use cases.
  • Produce feature requirement artifacts, such as data flows, process flows, decision trees, state diagrams, and system context diagram to support the delivery team.
  • Produce and lead go-live release communications that inform a diverse set of partners and/or users of new features and/or changes.
  • Present roadmaps, complex ideas and features to a broad audience effectively.
  • Perform interviews to provide hiring recommendations based on competency and delivery effectiveness.
  • Collaborate on ideas and provide feedback on many aspects of the team’s portfolio.
  • Cultivate a positive culture where there is a sense of purpose, ideas are heard, and decisions are transparent.

Requirements: I’ve already done that or have that!

  • 5+ years of experience as a technical product manager
  • 2+ years implementing and managing large-scale Enterprise solutions
  • Experience in driving adoption with with Okta, Sailpoint, Google Workspaces, Zoom, Slack
  • Excellent track record working with internal partners to define outcomes, metrics, strategies, roadmaps, dependencies, and releases
  • Ability to lead a portfolio of bigger and smaller deliveries while balancing short-term goals and long-term vision
  • Comfortable applying a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods to define success and problem solving without perfect metrics
  • Willingness to be on a constant learning journey and continuously go above and beyond the comfort zone
  • Good balance of IQ & EQ to be able to solve both technical and social challenges
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; timely communication with clear expectations. An active listener and clear communicator; can lead by influence

Education: Got it!

  • BA/BS or MA/MS is required

Preferred, but not required

  • Hold a current Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification

Note: Splunk provides flexibility and choice in the working arrangement for most roles, including remote and/or in-office roles. We have a market-based pay structure which varies by location. The base pay for this position is dependent on work location as set out below, as well as the knowledge, skills and experience of the candidate. In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for bonus and benefits, and may be eligible for equity.

Base Pay Range

SF Bay Area, Seattle Metro, and New York City Metro Area

Base Pay Range: $129,600 - 178,200 per year

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Washington (excludes Seattle Metro), Washington DC Metro, and Massachusetts

Base Pay Range: $121,600 - 167,200 per year

All other cities and states excluding California, Washington, Massachusetts, New York City Metro Area and Washington DC Metro Area.

Base Pay Range: $110,400 - 151,800 per year
