The Role

The Project Manager is responsible for the management of BuzzFeed UK’s creative infrastructure across editorial and branded projects. This position works closely with internal stakeholders to ensure that programs are executed efficiently and in scope. This position also focuses on the development and maintenance of processes to ensure team optimisation and smooth internal workflows.

You Will

  • Responsible for the day-to-day project management of multiple branded programs
  • Responsible for overall health of BuzzFeed UK’s creative operations, adopting and enforcing current systems, and creating new systems when needed
  • Work closely with production staff to manage incoming pre- and post-sale branded deals
  • Work with Sales and Client Services to track and ensure they remain in scope as they make their way through the sales pipeline
  • Track branded and editorial projects from pitch to delivery, including timelines, budget, and deliverables
  • Work with production staff to wrap delivered projects, adhering to Legal and Finance best practices
  • Identify scalable solutions to improve internal productivity
  • Collaborate with BuzzFeed stakeholders on the transfer of knowledge and best practices between departments, empowering all teams with the necessary information to successfully produce branded and editorial content
  • Work closely with the branded Creative Director to implement processes for new creative initiatives
  • Problem-solve between inter-departmental teams on a daily basis
  • Work with internal teams to build and maintain a network of freelance support, and to ensure smooth workflow and payment for any freelancers engaged over the course of a project
  • Work closely with the Sr Director of Global Production & Operations in New York and other BuzzFeed International stakeholders on ongoing in-market creative initiatives
  • Collaborate closely with Client Services, Creative, Research, Production, Sales, Legal, and Distribution teams throughout the life cycle of a project
  • Work closely with local Distribution Lead to package programs for launch
  • Use internal administration and database tools to manage programs

You Have

  • 3-4 years of project management experience at an agency or competitive media or publishing company
  • Knowledge of video pre-production, production and post-production, including workflows and processes, equipment and software programs/tools
  • Experience working in digital branded content
  • Working familiarity with multi-platform deliverables
  • Proven analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • An ability to come up with unique solutions to complex problems
  • Solution-oriented approach and ability to thrive in a fast-paced and fluid environment, as well as in situations of ambiguity and uncertainty
  • History of innovative, strategic thinking and planning skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Calm under pressure – able to organise & manage a high volume of work
  • Ability to manage communications across multiple time zones
  • Ability to work with corporate and creative communicators, including executives, sellers,, artists, and technicians
  • Knowledge of marketing and video branding is a must
  • Startup experience a plus
  • Motivated by creative excellence
