Job Description

What is the opportunity?

The Corporate Client Group (“CCG”) provides financial solutions and advice to mid-market corporate clients. The team is responsible for meeting annually established targets for revenues and returns while providing advice to key partners in order to fulfill broader RBC relationship goals.
The CCG Business Performance team plays a vital role in the realization of CCG’s planning, directing, and overseeing the group’s operational policies, rules, initiatives, and goals. The team supports the group’s execution of both short-term and long-term plans by implementing judgement, vision, management, and leadership.

Thought leader, financial analytical skills, critical thinking and accountability are key attributes for this role. The candidate will work closely with all division leaders of CCG to help reach the group’s targets and grow the business. Attention to detail and a strong drive to deliver high quality work are essential to support and lead various projects in the CCG divisions across Canada.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop and enhance business performance reports, processes and ensure accuracy of data
  • Manage the collection, aggregation, and analysis of data across multiple divisions
  • Complete complex financial and quantitative analyses under tight deadlines
  • Interface with internal groups to determine reporting requirements & problem solving strategies
  • Develop and establish of sale KPIs that assess and highlight areas of risk across divisions while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and risk appetite
  • Assist in volume and capacity planning needs of CCG Operations Officer and Finance business partners
  • Ensure a continuous improvement culture with particular focus on value added processes

Must have:

  • 2+ years of experience in a professional financial analysis and reporting role
  • Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an ability to drive insights from financial data
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with using MS Office applications (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and working with databases
  • Ability to confidently interact and communicate with a diverse senior management team
  • Ability to work in a high-pace and demanding environment by fulfilling the data and reporting needs for management
  • High level of attention to detail in both financial and day to day work
  • Ability to perform well under pressure, meet time sensitive deadlines, prioritize work and multi-task while working on multiple projects
  • Collaborative and supportive attitude
  • Professional oral and written communication skills are an absolute must

Nice to have:

  • Ability to perform data analytics
  • Experience with forecasting, planning and budgeting processes
