If you are a hardworking, self-starter who is eager to lead innovative efforts and manage a geographically dispersed team in a dynamic environment, come join our team as Iron Patriot Deputy Program Manager / Engineering Program Manager (DPM/EPM)! Lockheed Martin is the prime for this enterprise program which is an Agile development program with a diverse team of software, infrastructure, systems, and test engineers, as well as teams focused on operations, deployment, and user engagement.
The DPM/EPM is responsible for the day-to-day execution of the program to meet program commitments in accordance with the vision and direction set forth by the Program Management team. They will assist with the implementation of program cost/ schedule/ technical approach and Program Manager delegated responsibilities. Experience with cost estimating, BOE generation, schedule/cost management is required. The DPM/EPM focuses on the daily execution of the Program, while the Program Management staff focus on customer needs, contractual compliance and new business activities. The DPM/EPM will clearly and concisely communicate status, risks, key issues and their potential impact to the Program. The DPM/EPM works with the Line of Business (LoB) Program Manager to manage overhead budgets and rates. They will also support Program business rhythms, including supporting captures (New Task Orders and ECPs), customer on-site meetings and other new business activities. The candidate should be a full spectrum leader that possesses the ability to energize and lead the team, interface with the customer, actively recruit and train engineers, lead development issues utilizing the latest technologies, and is capable of maintaining and enhancing an operational system. It is expected that the candidate has prior functional leadership experience.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experienced L-Coded Engineering Manager
• Experienced CAM with demonstrated EVM experience
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Experience with subcontract management
• Experience leading engineering and customer teams through milestone reviews, audits, and (joint) surveillance reviews
• Experience defining and developing new work requests such as Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)
• Experience in driving enterprise behaviors and innovation/process improvements
• Strong Interpersonal skills with teamwork and transparency as a priority; demonstrable written communication and oral presentation skills
• Experience working with customers and mission partners in a badgeless team environment
• Demonstrated ability to build Customer confidence and intimacy across multiple Mission Partners and programs
Desired Skills:
• Experience in Program Management, Cost and Schedule Management, Metrics Collection, Risk and Opportunities Management, and Staffing
• Experience leading Agile Software Development Programs
• Experience with IDIQ contracts
