This position is located at MCAS Miramar, San Diego CA and will support the F-35 training mission. This position is for a Special Access Program Security Generalist to work Special Access Program Facility Management and operates at the direction of the security manager on matters related to security duties within the Pilot Training Center (PTC). In addition to SAPF management this position will focus initially on Collateral Security duties. Those duties include, but are not limited to; developing and conducting security education, training, and awareness briefings, provides initial security briefings for newly assigned contract and Marine personnel assigned to VMFAT 502. The Security Generalist will be responsible for DISS notifications and tasks such as; sending and receiving visit requests, establishing owning/servicing relationships, adding and removing access. e-QIP SF-86 submissions needing review and actions (rejection and submission). Check Marines in and out of Squadron IPSP (S-2) as required; upload completed SF-312 forms to DISS. Although this position will be focused on Collateral Security duties initially, the individual filling this role will also train to fill a role as a SAP security generalist in the PTC. In that role the individual assigned will be required to; Develop, administer and audit security programs for compliance with government regulations associated with the protection of classified material and export controlled data. Develop and execute security programs associated with the protection of proprietary information in compliance with corporate policies. Perform in individual and team roles supporting all contractual security requirements for Special Access Programs (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) programs or DOD collateral classified programs. Study and implement federal security regulations that apply to company compliance and contract execution as set forth in SAP security rules (DoDM 5205.07, Vols 1-4/JSIG), SCI security rules (ICD) or DOD security rules (NISPOM). Provides support in managing the quality, schedule and cost expectations associated with program development and execution, while maintaining the fundamental security requirements defined by the customer/company and program. Prepare implementation manuals outlining regulations, and establishes procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting personnel and visitors access to classified materials. Develop and conduct security education classes. Investigate security violations and prepares reports specifying preventive action to be taken. Apply business-minded and risk-managed solutions to security issues and business challenges, and communicates observations and recommendations to leadership and enterprise business partners.
Basic Qualifications:
1. Knowledge of SAPF operations
2. Experience with DoDM 5205.07/Vols 104
3. Expert knowledge of DISS and all functions associated with the system.
3. In-depth knowledge of e-QIP and SF-86 review.
4. Inspection/self-inspection processes and procedures.
5. outstanding oral communication skills, will be required to give briefings in front of large audiences.
Desired Skills:
1. knowledge of Marine Corps operations and security management.
2. Previous work with Marine Corps flying squadrons.
3. Experience working with the F-35.
4. Experience with Microsoft Office Products.
