Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a strong, experienced Program Manager for the Bradley Directorate. The ideal candidate will have lifecycle experience in combat vehicles from design development through sustainment. The successful PM candidate will join an established team of seasoned PMs managing the design team overseeing the existing and proposed programs for the Bradley Fire Support Team Vehicle and M993 Multiple Launch Rocket System carrier within the Bradley Support and Technical Services (STS) program.
Location/Travel/Schedule:
  • The position can be based out of Sterling Heights, Michigan or San Jose, California. Will consider candidates from other locations.
  • This will be a Remote/Onsite Hybrid role where you can work from home 2 days each week and go onsite 3 days each week.
  • This position will require up to 15% travel.
  • This role has a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and programmatic management oversight assuring the project meets financials, schedule, technical objectives, and achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Develop program/project plans specifying goals, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources
  • Coordination with production, fielding, and sustainment teams to transition designs from engineering data to fielded hardware
  • Lead with a customer focus, building and maintaining relationships to support the delivery of customer requirements
  • Communicate with all levels of BAE Systems senior management regarding program performance status (cost / schedule / resources / risk) as well as performance to annual financial objectives
  • Manage program scope and cost estimating, including estimate to complete/estimate at completion (ETC/EAC) processes
  • Provide leadership and support to Earned Value Management, Master Planning Techniques (IMP/IMS), and Subcontract Management activities
  • Identify and develop opportunities to increase the value of assigned project(s)
  • Lead the development of capture plans and preparation of proposals in response to various customer requests
  • Collaborate with teams from multiple sites and/or cultures, including industry partners and suppliers
  • Work with diverse teams in a high tempo environment
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of experience or equivalent experience
  • Requires a current Secret Clearance or the ability to obtain one
  • Experience in Program/Project Management, developing program/project plans specifying goals, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources
  • Experience in Program Scope Management and Cost Estimating, including estimate to complete/estimate at completion (ETC/EAC) processes
  • Experience in the application of Earned Value Management System, Master Planning Techniques (IMP/IMS), and Subcontract Management
  • Ability to support new business capture, including proposal and ECP development
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of BAE Systems senior management regarding program performance status (cost / schedule / resources / risk) as well as performance to annual financial objectives
  • Ability to identify and develop opportunities to increase the value of the project(s) and to capture new projects
  • Ability to build strong relationships and effectively communicate (verbally and in writing) at all levels within the customer community
  • Demonstrated excellent communications skills, both oral and written
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
  • Degree in Engineering or Technical field a plus
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification a plus
  • Experience in Combat Vehicles development, qualification, production, and/or sustainment programs a plus
  • Experience with M993 Multiple Launch Rocket System carrier a plus
  • Established relationship with Government MLRS contacts in PdM-Bradley and PM-STORM a plus
  • Experience with the BFIST variant of Bradley a plus
  • Established relationship with Government BFIST contacts in PdM-Bradley a plus
  • Experience in Business Case development, analysis, and presentation a plus
