Job Description

The Sony Pictures Entertainment Internship program offers a unique opportunity to work alongside the teams that come together to create movies, TV shows, and other great experiences. These seasonal, paid assignments to provide meaningful and productive work that allows you to build your resume, and experience and develop your skills further. You will be provided with challenging tasks, real-world experience, valuable networking opportunities, and many educational and social opportunities. This Fall Internship is from September through December and all candidates must be able to work part-time, Monday through Friday on a hybrid schedule.

The Direct-to-Consumer Media Networks handles all aspects of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) and home office finance responsibilities for various digital-focused businesses including, but not limited to, Crunchyroll, Game Show Networks, and Pure Flix.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the FP&A team on monthly deliverables for senior management such as monthly analysis between actual vs forecast, rolling forecast based on trend, etc.
  • Assist in creating Lifetime Value (LTV) analysis for SVOD businesses
  • Compile presentation from raw data extracted from the online data repository
  • Work closely with centralized accounting team and finance teams in the offices
  • Create and update desk procedures with clear step-by-step instructions and explanations
  • Follow-through requests with internal or external parties
  • Participate in various department and one-on-one check-in meetings
  • Ad hoc responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current sophomore or senior college students in the accredited 4-year college or university in the U.S.
  • Enrolled or completed college courses including, but not limited to, accounting, financial analysis, business finance/economics, statistics, or relevant courses
  • Minimum GPA of 3.50
  • Fundamental knowledge of income statements and balance sheets
  • Immediate level of Microsoft Excel (sumif, countif, v-lookup, tables, graphs) and Words
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization and critical thinking

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Enrolled or completed college courses focused on entertainment or digital industry
