Data Privacy Analyst

Role Overview

Our Privacy Team is looking for a Data Privacy Analyst to support their compliance initiatives related to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and privacy regulations like the California Consumer Privacy Act and other global privacy laws. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure that we are complying with our record keeping requirements concerning our data repositories and processing activities (both player and employee). You will report to the Privacy and Compliance Manager and will be based in Redwood Shores, California.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with 500+ data and system owners to collect, maintain and update information on data assets, systems and business processes that use player and/or employee data.
  • Manage online data mapping and documentation tool (OneTrust) to ensure completeness of data, and run reports, as needed.
  • Perform group data updates, exports, imports, clean-ups, and research/reports on any data discrepancies.
  • Maintain detailed reports of progress to keep manager/team members informed of and aligned with status and timelines.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned, such as cookie consent compliance matters and onboarding internal teams onto EA's proprietary data collection system to comply with data requests from data subjects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in law, computer science, computer engineering, or information systems field.
  • Performed as a Business Analyst or has a history of leading projects with many stakeholders to completion.
  • Prior experience in Privacy with a working knowledge of GDPR or other global privacy laws a +.
  • Experience with data mapping (e.g., OneTrust), or data reporting tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organization skills.
  • Work collaboratively and partner with stakeholders.
  • Good judgment to recognize and report red flags and/or completion risks.
  • Self-motivated, positive attitude, takes initiative, team player.
  • Work with discretion in an environment exposed to a high level of proprietary and confidential information.
