About the role

The District Manager develops and executes the retail Sales targets by brand, and by store, and manages the beauty experts. The District Manager develops a top door strategy in conjunction with the Sales Manager.

The District Manager develops and nurtures strong, effective, and productive business partnerships and actively maintains competitor and market awareness, and develops strategies to ensure the brands outgrow competitors.

The District Manager reports to the Sales Manager.

As a District Manager, you will:

• Prepare and plan strong implementation plans for staff coverage across all retail locations, with a particular focus on top doors.
• Implement strategies to ensure targets are achieved and where possible exceeded
• Monitors key success metrics: sales, conversion, Productivity/expenses, net promotor score, data collection
• Actively exploit business opportunities to deliver stretch plans and persevere during challenging times
• Make recommendations to Sales Manager and Brand Managers on yearly targets, as well as on-store site selection
• Attract, lead and develop the team to achieve the sales plan and deliver high-touch customer service.
• Set the tone for excellence in execution in all field staff, actively role modeling effective selling techniques
• Develop and upskill team in retail management techniques and drive commercial performance improvement
• Ensure operational efficiencies and completion of procedures according to retail regional and affiliate retail guidelines, brand guidelines, and company standards
• Ensure all activities respect brand standards and visual integrity of stores

• Entrepreneur & initiative taker with an operational mindset
• Excellent written and spoken communications in English, French, Dutch (Belux scope)
• Proven retail/sales and people management experience in an omnichannel consumer-driven environment; preferably in the cosmetics & beauty industry.
• Good usage of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Result and sales-oriented, passion for product, hands-on approach, pragmatic & flexible, driven challenge seeker
• Organizational skills and ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels
• Experience with P&L management
