Verisk is looking for Business Analyst / Product Manager for the Product and Technology team within the underwriting division focused on UK, Ireland and General Insurance.

This role will provide business analysis services to a number of new and ongoing strategic and customer projects across two business units in the division. The role will also include Product Management of our motor insurance product set and any other Products we choose to add in Ireland.

The role will report into the Product Manager for General Insurance.

In this role you will get a chance to:

• Carry out business analysis activities across 3 business units including scoping, gap analysis and detailed requirements definition
• Drive the analysis process to explore and document requirements for new projects
• Gather and document requirements from customers ad compile customer facing documents
• Manage the motor product set, ensuring that the products and associated documentation are fit for purpose.
• To be successful in this role you would need to
• Manage key stakeholders, making sure that their needs and expectations are met.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of the business including development and management
• Drive the requirements gathering process resulting in high level documentation that is agreed to be concise, accurate complete and clear by internal and external customers as well as the development team.
• Represent the business as a Product Owner in one or more Agile Development Projects and help drive them to a successful outcome
• Document business cases for new projects that are subsequently approved for execution
• Build trusted relationships and become a valued member of a talented team
• Successfully assist the team in solving complex business problems
• Become an expert in our motor product set
• Work with sales, support and development to make sure that our motor products continue to sell and delight our customers.

Qualifications

What we are looking for?

• An innovative team player and an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing
• Experience of owning and successfully driving the analysis and requirements gathering process within a data services or IT arena.
• Experience of performing gap analysis
• Excellent problem-solving skills and someone who enjoys the challenge of solving complex issues
• Familiarity in working on projects associated with APIs, data solutions, JSON, XML and related solutions is important
• Effective skills in the MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint is expected
• Educated to degree level or equivalent.
• Ideally 3 to 5+ years experience within the software, insurance, financial services or data industry.
• Skills and experience in using API tools like Postman, JMeter or Swagger is desirable
• Experience in the Insurance industry is also desirable
