The OMINS2 Obscura team maintains the Satellite Control Network (SCN) obscura and Transmit Inhibit Zone (TIZ) baseline for all SCN Remote Tracking Stations (RTS). Antenna Obscura consists of structures, vegetation, and terrain that can degrade the antenna signal. TIZ are areas where the antenna is not allowed to radiate for safety or operational reasons. Obscura and TIZ are determined by the Obscura team who perform site surveys. The collected data points are utilized to create models of SCN sites and identify optimal and safe antenna visabilities for satellite supports.
The candidate would travel up to twice per year to an RTS site to perform a survey. The sites are located in Califoria, New Hamphsire, Hawaii, England, Greenland, Guam, and Diego Garcia. Site surveys are multiple days long and the candidate must have the ability to walk long distances, be on their feet for extended periods of time, work in cold or hot climates, and work at heights up to 85 feet. Candidate will receive training to operate an arial boom lift.
Candidate should have strong analytical skills and an understanding of programming languages such as C# or equivalent. You will be demonstrating your programming skills by continuously making updates and enhancements to the modeling tool. Candidate will provide support to other teams within OMINS2 to enhance and maintain customer tools and database interfaces.

Basic Qualifications:
•C#, Java, Python or equivalent languages
•DOD Final Secret required
Desired Skills:
•Experience with Systems Tool Kit (STK)
•Understanding of antenna obscura
•Basic RF knowledge
•CAD familiarity
•Comp TIA Security Plus certified IAW DoD 8570.01-M
