C/AGR-GB is identifying political topics and societal developments that are relevant to the RO, Robert Bosch UK. The key role of the department is analysing and evaluating them, and communicate this information into the company in a targeted manner so that corporate, product and innovation strategies can be aligned in good time with political framework conditions. The department C/AGR-GB identify interests and issues in the company from which they derive positions and strategies for political communications and research and investment promotion. They are the contact point in the UK for political actors, networks and organizations and have the lead for all political activities and positions in the company in the region. ​

Job Description

  • -Develops and executes the government affairs strategy by developing relationships with key elected political leaders and their staffs, relevant ministry and other senior key automotive policy administrators/government agency officials to advance national policy goals. ​
  • Monitors the policy and political environment for salient and emerging issues and determines those of the greatest impact to the market. ​
  • Identifies opportunities and threats in the legislative process to advance or defend identified Bosch’s policy objectives. ​
  • Ensures that business areas are informed of government initiatives and/or policies that may present a threat or opportunity to the UK and or company’s short and long-term planning objectives. ​
  • Coordinate with other members of the European Public Policy and Government Affairs function to develop and implement advocacy plans to support Bosch’s business objectives through a pan-European public policy advocacy strategy. ​
  • Coordinate and manage yearly events to supporting advocacy and policy work

Qualifications

  • University degree ​
  • Ideally 3+ years’ government and/or government affairs experience within the UK. ​
  • In-depth understanding of the policy making process, both formal and informal. ​
  • Strong organisational, communication, and networking skills, along with excellent relationships with policy makers, both elected and within relevant ministries. ​
