The sia Abrasives Australia team is one of the world's leading suppliers of innovative abrasive systems, and part of the Bosch Group since 2008. We develop, manufacture and market complete abrasive systems, tailored to specific requirements and applications, for the surface treatment of every type of workpiece.

Job Description

Our sia Abrasives team within the Power Tools division are currently offering an exciting, ongoing opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join us as an Area Sales Manager starting July 2022. The role will be a home office position based in Victoria, and due to the high volume of local travel required, the role includes the use of a Tool of Trade vehicle.

Position responsibilities will include:

• Developing, maintaining and executing territory plans to achieve sales and profit targets, maximise potential, and grow market share
• Developing business opportunities within all segments and industries of the business
• Planning and relationship management of customer base through regular visits and calls
• Product training to drive store staff and end user engagement and recommendation
• Promoting product releases and promotional activities to build brand awareness and loyalty
• Reporting on market trends and demonstrating a high level of knowledge of competitors, products and technologies
• Providing timely and accurate sales forecasts and develop initiatives to close gaps or optimize new opportunities

Qualifications

We are looking for proactive, self-driven and flexible individual who can work towards KPI’s and deliver on all aspects of the sales cycle. A proven background in Sales is required along with strong analytical skills, the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively with both internal and external customers.

You should be able to demonstrate the following:

• Minimum Year 12 qualification, degree in Business or similar is highly regarded
• Proven successful track record in sales and account management
• In depth knowledge of the abrasives, power tools or a related industry is highly advantageous
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, CRM, ERP and project management tools
• Excellent presentation, attention to detail, project management and communication skills
• Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to work in an agile environment
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• A valid Australian Driver’s license
