Working in collaboration with the Government Affairs and Commercial Payer teams, the Director will play an integral role in leading the overall strategy and engagement with public payers and driving policy and reimbursement goals related to value and evidence for coverage of GRAIL products.

You will:

    • Be responsible for working across GRAIL to drive policy and reimbursement goals, including public payer engagement, evidence development for coverage, and development of innovative coverage pathways with public and private payers.
    • Develop and implement a strategic plan for key public payers with specific measurable objectives that support the business plan for each payer type.
    • Translate reimbursement strategy into national and applicable state level policy strategy. Articulate, advance, and implement a strategic and tactical approach in support of the coverage priorities.
    • Support the development and implementation of a strategy for review and inclusion in guidelines (e.g., USPSTF, NCCN, ACS, etc.)
    • Develop strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders to drive an evidence generation strategy in support of coverage and reimbursement of current and future screening and diagnostic products including HEOR, medical affairs, regulatory affairs, marketing, and commercial colleagues.
    • Direct cross functional work on the development of innovative coverage arrangements and pathways with public and private payers in support of long-term reimbursement and coverage.
    • This role can be remote.

Your background should include:

    • A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
    • A minimum of fourteen (14) years of experience with public payers and reimbursement policy at the national or state level.
    • Successful track record of being a leader in managing complex policy issues and/or reimbursement strategic plans at a company, trade association, or relevant Department or Agency.
    • Understanding of the molecular diagnostic and screening testing market, including products, companies, and technology.
    • Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships while enhancing the company’s policy positions in support of coverage.
    • Understanding of coverage in public programs, including Medicare and Medicaid.
    • Superior interpersonal communication (written and verbal), and organizational skills
    • Innovative, energetic, entrepreneurial and resourceful; diplomatic, intuitive, inquisitive and mature; willing to offer opinions, suggestions, and judgments that are supported by sound logic.

Preferred Education and Experience:

    • An advanced degree.
    • Experience working with health outcomes research studies.
