Job Description

Description:Set up and operate Vertical Milling Centers and associated machine shop tools. May be required to solve problems relative to work-holding arrangement, unusual materials, machine settings, tools, product specifications, and fabrication methods for production process. Normally performs precision work to exacting tolerances and dimensions for research engineers in a developmental laboratory condition. Will be responsible for checking own work against a 3D model. Additional job duties include: maintaining stock, maintain a clean and organized work area, organizing machine shop, deliver finished goods within facility, assist with set up and break down of machine operations.
Basic Qualifications:
•Ability to set up and operate Vertical 3 Axis Mills
•Ability to utilize typical machine shop equipment and tools such as Mills, Lathes, Drills, etc.
•Ability to read and work from detailed process sheets and drawings
•Ability to interact effectively with management and co-workers
•Good communication, interpersonal and teaming skills
•Position requires the ability to safely lift 40 pounds.
•Candidate must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance and must have at least an Interim Secret Security clearance prior to start.
Desired Skills:
•Some Experience with 3D CAM Programming
•Ability to train long-term
