Eaton is currently seeking a Global Battery Program Manager to join our team in Raleigh, NC. Remote work is available.

Position Overview:

Eaton’s Lithium-ion Battery Center of Excellence (LIB COE) has an exciting opportunity for a Technical/ Operations Program Manager for Lithium-ion battery-based Lithium-ion battery-based Energy Storage Systems (ESS) and Uninterruptible Power Systems (UPS) products. This position reports to the leader of Global Category team and functionally to the leader of the CPDI Program Management Office. The role will be responsible for the successful execution of assigned projects.

The Program Manager manages projects critical to the success of the businesses. These projects require coordination of resources across a range of functional organizations and locations both local and remote. The Program Manager sets up and directs project schedules, budgets, engages in supplier communications, and defines the key action items among the global stake holders at Americas, APAC, EMEA from within the functional organizations responsible for executing various aspects of the Lithium-ion related projects.

In this role you will:

  • Responsibility, Authority and Accountability (RAA) for assigned project scope delivery and successful execution within technical, schedule, cost, and quality commitments.
  • Leads an Integrated Project in a matrix environment ensuring various functional organizations contribute and meet the overall objectives and deliverables of the project. Must be able to direct others without formal reporting relationships across multiple functions and sites.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic business acumen. Must understand complex business plans then recognize inconsistencies and gaps and work with the project and business teams to reconcile them
  • Manages multiple projects and activities simultaneously to meet defined objectives while prioritizing and resolving conflicts.
  • Estimates, manages, and tracks cost including product cost, project costs, labor, and capital.
  • Maintains metrics for project financials, quality, technical performance, and delivery through all program stages. Report’s metrics regularly in the program information system and review meetings.
  • Identifies and secures required resources, prepares budgets, and defines schedules to achieve objectives. Establishes and manages work breakdown for all functional areas
  • Implements effective risk management. Works with the project team to define project risks then proactively identify and execute risk mitigation actions. Coordinates all risks and requirements of the project to achieve project goals
  • Identifies and develops process improvements in the project management area. Supports and trains other project managers to improve overall execution.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • 5 years of project management experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited university
  • Experiences in Lithium-ion battery, Power Electronics, Energy Storage, UPS, industries
  • Project Management Certification or training, Exposure to Agile project management preferred

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $118,000 – $162,250.
