Job Summary
- EIIC functional excellence organization is aligned to CTO’s strategy to drive “One Eaton Engineering Functional Excellence”. Charter of this organization is to simplify & create better work experiences for our Engineers by transforming existing engineering work processes. EIIC functional excellence organization will work with global Engineering Functional Excellence leaders in CTO’s office, Electrical and Industrial Sector businesses.
- These organization will be responsible for developing and deploying One Eaton processes across all sectors and businesses across globe.
- Leader for engineering operational excellence within functional excellence team at EIIC, will be responsible for establishing and deploying practices and processes for engineering function that includes all product design swim lanes viz; System, Subsystem, Component and Software. Person in this role will also be responsible to drive continuous improvement culture and practices in the organization.
- Leader in this role will focus on improvement in product realization and lifecycle management related processes, their improvement, automation and deployment across the enterprise using lean and continuous improvement philosophy. Leader will also be responsible for management and maintenance of engineering information and knowledge management systems.
- Leader in this role will actively work along with leaders for engineering excellence, Digital Engineering, Program management excellence and business teams across the organizations.
Job Responsibilities
- Drive improvement in product realization and lifecycle management related processes..
- Process improvement, automation and deployment across the enterprise using lean and continuous improvement philosophy.
- Management and maintenance of engineering information and knowledge management systems.
- Drive continuous improvement and LEAN practices and culture in the organization
- Show visible leadership and set example by personal action in developing strong learning culture in the team.
- Strategy & execution leadership for enhancing collaboration & synergy across various engineering teams
- Develop a high performing, innovative, empowered and accountable culture across the organization.
- Leadership and Management of Product Life cycle Management and Design process Excellence team with in EIIC
- Build organizational capability and capacity of the team to execute strategy for the operational excellence team within functional excellence group.
- Meet the schedule, scope, cost and technical targets for all projects under his/her control. by managing the shared pool of engineering resources.
- Provide visible leadership to guide, coach and develop the next level organizational and leaders.
- Select, hire and retain employees in the department.
- Develop and maintain relationships with global stakeholders, technical community, academia.
- Continuous advancement of the capability.
- Drive digitalization and automation mind-set in product and application development and related engineering processes.
Qualifications
Requirement:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/ SW Engineering. Strong understanding of organizational processes
- Strong understanding of LEAN product development methodology
- Hands on experience of working with product lifecycle management processes.
- Solid understanding of Engineering information management processes
- Prefer DfSS/ DMAIC certified Black Belt from reputed organization
