About the Position

Jane Street Group, LLC has an opening for an Exotic Options Trader in New York, NY.
The position duties are as follows: Traders work in teams to seek out and trade on pricing inefficiencies, develop models, manage risk, investigate new products, and push into new business areas for exotic options. Day-to-day job duties include:

• Price and trade exotic derivatives with banks
• Export the risk of exotic positions to our desk level and firm wide risk management systems
• Maintain appropriate vanilla OTC hedges with our bank counterparties in order to reduce margin and counterparty risk
• PNL our exotic trades, breaking it down into vanilla risk (deltas, gammas, vegas) and exotic risk (correlations, quanto, cross-greeks)
• Work with research to develop internal models for generating paths and valuing exotics
• Study aggregate exotic dealer market exposures
• Propose listed vanilla trades (or exotic trades) based off of changes in banks exotic exposure
• Identify what levels liquid exotics are trading in the OTC market, and maintain exotic parameters (corrs, forwards, vol surface perturbations) to value them

About You

The position requires a Master’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related scientific or quantitative field or foreign equivalent, plus 3 years of progressively responsible experience in an index/equity option exotics role. Experience must include:

• 3 years of experience conducting trade entry, trade reporting, and organizing and displaying market data to facilitate trade decisions
• 3 years of experience in back-testing new trading strategies and conducting paper-trades on new trading strategies
• Demonstrated expertise in Excel, VBA and Bloomberg
• Demonstrated knowledge of Python
• Series 7 and Series 57 licenses
