Principal Product Manager, Experimentation

Role Summary
The Principal Product Manager, Experimentation will create value from our unique, rich, and rapidly growing data, side by side with engineering, data science, marketing, product , UX and design leads for our product areas. We expect you to drive actionable insights into customer behavior and operational efficiency, support decision making and strategy create strong feedback loops through data visualization and analysis, and enable others to self-serve data needs.
Your initial mandate will be focused on A / B testing, and to develop and implement a product experimentation & optimization vision and roadmap to deliver a best in class experience to our consumers across channels. You will facilitate the A / B testing process from intake and prioritization of test requests, test design, test setup to evaluation stage, and play a key role in delivering the best experience for our users.
You will help ELC to deeply understand our users, their problems, where they find value, and consistently strive to improve the overall customer experience from start to finish. You thrive within ambiguity and find new, creative ways to solve problems every day, with data as your guide and drive the product roadmap of personalization capabilities across all aspects of the product lifecycle
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and derive insights from onsite behavior, and order data to identify opportunities for onsite experimentation and segmentation
- Drive an experimentation and optimization roadmap that unlocks revenue opportunities across customer cohorts (first time purchaser/repeat purchase, anonymous/identified, etc)
- Understand business strategy, define the critical moments for personalization and translate them into concrete results for cross-functional personalization teams
- Conduct ongoing competitive analysis of other sites, apps, and products to continually identify ways to improve our user experience
- Define and track metrics to assess success and failure of products, while ensuring the team and stakeholders are aligned on goals
- Monitor and measure launched products to maintain a tight learning loop that leverages qualitative insights from user research as well as quantitative results from testing in order to continually inform the product development process
- Build the experimentation product program workflow and governance structure, training and activation roadmap and communicate with partners to lead to successful onboarding for brands and markets
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) for experimentation, working with product teams, vendors and partners in CDP, preference and account management, MarTech, personalization, analytics and other key areas
- Manage the experimentation systems that works with our general onsite optimization toolkit. Maintain ongoing updates and performance optimizations for our onsite optimization toolkit
- Leverage technical acumen to effectively partner with engineering teams to rapidly deliver high quality tests, and produce winning tests
- Partner with key stakeholders in Marketing, Brand, Operations, Product and Engineering to drive the A/B testing process and implementation on ELC websites
- Understand ELC's strategic and competitive position, and deliver products that are recognised as industry leading
- Share a compelling narrative about what problems our products solve, for whom, and how they are solved. Question user behaviour, and analyse data to find answers
- Identify opportunities, and be able to adapt to change and new information
- Define and analyse metrics that inform the success of products and new features and help brand and capability teams to understand the data to help them prioritize the winning tests to be fully implemented on ELC websites
- Identify site optimisation opportunities, analyse business benefit, evaluate ROI and prioritise and negotiate initiatives to develop roadmap

QualificationsWhat We Are Looking For
- BA/BS degree in digital marketing, visual communication, marketing, communications or related field
- 8+ years relevant experience
- 3+ years of product management or related experience creating consumer-facing software products
- 5+ years of product management or related experience working on A/B and multi-varient testing across omnichannel experiences,
- A proven track record of planning and shipping successful products - ideally with some experience building consumer products
- A consumer-first orientation: you think about products from the end users’ perspective, and have experience with relevant tools, including running usability studies and qualitative user research
- Technical know-how: While you need not be an engineer, you understand the technical implications of the product decisions you make.
- Strong analytical skills: You’re facile with data analysis and have familiarity with Excel, databases, and SQL and running A/B tests at scale.
- Excellent communication skills: you communicate clearly and concisely, including with leadership, and can tailor your message to your audience
