Your Planning & Navigating Requirements The Cobrand Card Marketing Manager will work exclusively and independently as a strategic contributor to develop, manage, and implement both acquisition and profitable lifecycle engagement strategies for the REI Co-Op Mastercard program, REI’s exclusive “member” only credit card program.
Marketing Strategy - You will lead cobrand card marketing, including developing the strategy and executing the marketing plan. Your work will bring REI Co-op Mastercard to life within membership and across channels and marketing campaigns, to acquire new card members and drive engagement.
- Author annual marketing strategy for the REI Co-op Mastercard program against clear customer, objectives and, KPIs to inform cross channel plans to build a cohesive member-centric marketing plan to deliver on both conversion and engagement metrics.
- Collaborate and partner directly with REI’s Credit Card Issuer and Mastercard on key program activities, translating goals into program growth and encouraging and stimulating member loyalty
- Liaison across marketing teams from strategy to execution to deliver business objectives and resonate with members both at the top of the funnel and throughout.
- Build compelling presentation materials to communicate the strategy and plan to gain alignment across teams, with leadership and with our financial partners.
- Continual optimization of the plan through insight, trends, and assessing marketing performance.
Loyalty Marketing - You will lead the strategy to deepen cardmember engagement by designing innovative and compelling strategies and offers exclusively for REI Mastercard members to stimulate cardholder engagement and maximize reward earnings.
- Work with internal and external partners to create and test marketing offers digitally and otherwise across each stage of the account lifecycle: onboarding, activation, usage, re-activation, and retention
- Leverage external partnerships to create unique promotions, sweepstakes, and other collaborative initiatives that align with REI’s mission and core values
- Use internal and partner research, data, and insights to evaluate consumer attitudes, behavior, and performance to drive innovation and incremental opportunity in a test and learn agile environment
- Align efforts with internal analyst to lead decile strategy and optimize learnings, interpret, and deliver marketing results and performance, ongoing
- Provide customer insights, performance results, competitive intelligence, and recommendations based upon engagement to the Cobrand program lead that may help to modify the product
Bring your passion and expertise
- Bachelor’s Degree (in Marketing or related field preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in marketing, with a preference in loyalty marketing in a similar position or industry, Digital marketing and CRM experience
- Data driven marketing experience and ability to develop marketing programs fueled by sophisticated segmentation and loyalty strategies
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with an understanding of strategic partnerships and marketing success criteria and measurement
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication. Able to distill complex information into a succinct POV and compelling presentation materials to effectively communicate strategies and marketing plans.
- Strong organization and time management skills and attention to detail
- Uses business knowledge, innovative thinking, and sound judgement in the solution of problems or the pursuit of business opportunities.
- Experience with working with multiple teams and stakeholders, executing project plans and delivering results on time and on budget
- Experience with partnerships, and/or co-branded credit cards (preferred)

Factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include a wide array of factors, including: your specific skills and experience, geographic location or other relevant factors. The salary range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets. The pay for this role is: $65,000 to $127,500 per year
