About the job

We are looking for an experienced operations manager to lead our global Compliance Operations team. The ideal candidate is comfortable with and enjoys solving complex problems, establishing productive workflows, diving into data and being a builder. In this role, you will work with Product Managers, Engineering, Legal and team members across the organization to develop successful operations strategies to deliver on business objectives. You will be a subject matter operations and will help evaluate and evolve compliance tools used by your team.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations or similar discipline or equivalent job experience.
  • Have 4+ years of people management experience, preferably in an operations environment.
  • Have basic technical skills including an understanding of APIs and data analytics.
  • Be detail-oriented with great organizational skills and comfort with ambiguity.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and are able to present effectively and articulate concepts/ideas in a clear, concise manner.
  • Have the ability to make sound decisions in a fast paced environment.
  • Have excellent time management and organizational skills and are comfortable working under pressure.
  • Have demonstrated the ability to proactively identify and launch process improvements that have a significant, positive, business impact.
  • Have experience evaluating operational performance, building forecasts and finding creative solutions to operating constraints.
  • Have strong relationship building and collaboration skills.
  • Be able to work with remote teams and across time zones to foster a cohesive and creative work environment
  • Have experience in the compliance, fraud, abuse or user protection space preferred but not required.
  • Have experience in technology or telecommunications preferred but not required.

Required:

  • Schedule: ability to work non-standard, on-call rotation weekend and holiday hours.
  • Experience working within Talent Acquisition to understand hiring priorities and developing robust marketing plans to achieve hiring goals.
  • Experience working independently and as part of a team. Will take the initiative to drive projects forward even under ambiguous circumstances.

Desired:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and build effective working relationships with all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Looker, and Tableau.

Location

This role will be a US full time remote role and can be based anywhere in the US.

  • The estimated pay range for this role, based in Colorado, is $109,280 - $150,260
  • Non-Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.

The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location within the state. This role is also eligible to participate in Twilio’s equity plan and for the following benefits: health care insurance, 401(k) retirement account, paid sick time, paid personal time off, paid parental leave.
