Job Description

Eaton’s Industrial Filtration Sector is currently seeking a Global Product Manager – Industrial Filtration to join our team. This position is a remote position with travel to our Chanhassen, MN facility as required.

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices.

The annual salary range for this role is $101,360 – $139,370.

Position Overview:

As a Global Product Manager, you will lead product management for all current filtration products sold into the Industrial market segment, as well as new products as the portfolio expands. Products include filter bags and housings, manual and automatic strainers as well as industrial filter cartridges.

The Global Product Manager is responsible for product marketing and sales support, product life cycle management and promotion, product strategy, including market and customer research for the outlined product lines on a regional or global basis. This role is expected to obtain growth and profitability targets in our Industrial market segment by supporting sales to value-sell filtration products and services to target markets and customer groups as well as lead the team of product specialists and technical service.

In this function you will:

  • Work closely with functional leaders to develop and implement growth strategies to drive product profitability, volume, mix, market share improvement and price globally.
  • Lead the team of product specialists and technical support, motivate and develop staff.
  • Proactively gather and interpret competitor and market information and conduct market research to identify and define emerging new product and product adjacency opportunities.
  • Perform competitive analysis and develop product competitive comparisons as needed, including cross-reference lists.
  • Identify, consolidate, and transform VoC (Voice of Customer) inputs into new business opportunities, including NPD (new product development), existing product optimization, service programs, product portfolio rationalization, value engineering, marketing programs and other initiatives.
  • Define product positioning in the marketplace considering how target customer segments benefit from our products relative to competition.
  • Participate in ProLaunch process for assigned new product development projects by providing the input from marketing as required.
  • Develop Product Roadmaps and drive alignment across the business functions (includes the smart filtration-related product roadmap and developing value selling points).
  • Coordinate product launches across functions, working closely with marketing communications, engineering, sales and operations.
  • Own business success in ramp-up phase after new product launches, ensuring cross-functional alignment and tracking of sales progress.
  • Develop Eaton Filtration's competitive packages for different Industrial applications / customer segments as a playbook for sales.
  • Connect with key customers and other business partners on a senior level (e.g. suppliers of traded products) to enhance business relationships and grow our business.

Qualifications

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of work experience in marketing and/or engineering.
  • Prior work experience in business-to-business (B2B) industrial products
  • All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA).
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of work experience with at least five (5) years in the filtration market.
  • Understanding of markets, distribution channels, OEM requirements, and brand strengths.
  • German language skills.
