Job Description
As a member of the VFX team you will enrich the player experience by creating a wide range of high-quality visual effects that support gameplay and follow the creative and artistic direction. You will work closely with fellow VFX artists as well as designers, animators and gameplay programmers to bring the game and its world to life.
What you will do:
- Create and implement high-quality gameplay, combat and ambient effects
- Work with particle editors, materials and visual scripting tools
- Use external DCC software to create textures and meshes for real-time VFX use
- Analyze, improve and optimize visual effects content
- Build relationships with Artists, Designers, Technical Artists and Programmers to facilitate effective collaboration during the asset production process
- Document and present your work with videos and documentation tools
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Solid understanding of the artistic and technical fundamentals of real-time visual effects
- Experience of using real-time particle systems in a game engine
- Keen eye for detail, color, shapes and movement, ability to break down existing effects in games and films
- Be highly self-motivated, self-organized and show initiative
- Passion for problem-solving and experimentation
Bonus Skills
- Experience in working with sci-fi, fantasy and semi-stylized art
- Good understanding of node-based shaders and their use cases for VFX
- Experience with project management tools (Jira, Miro)
- Experience working in an art team on a game production
