Senior Data Engineer (R6473)

Job Description

Job Duties:

• Design functional data models by understanding use cases and data sources
• Build scalable, complex DBT models
• Design and build scalable data orchestration and transformation
• Inject SDLC best practices into the data stack, and provide guidance to other data engineers
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, code instrumentation, and real time monitoring
• Practice/Implement data security, encryption and masking policies across various data sets and data sources
• Work with business and engineering teams to identify scope, constraints, dependencies, and risks
• Identify risks and opportunities across the business and drive solutions

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years work experience in data engineering field
• Minimum of 4 years work experience with cloud technologies
• Minimum of 4 years work experience in data pipelines (ETL / ELT)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or relevant work experience
• Advanced SQL proficiency
• Working knowledge of Source Control, CI / CD, and DevOps
• Working knowledge of Agile frameworks and Jira
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to debug complex environments and data pipelines

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced experience with Data Visualization tools (ex: Tableau and Power BI)
• Experience with creating CI / CD Pipeline
• Experience with Snowflake
• Experience with Python
• Functional experience with DBT
• Functional experience with AWS
