The Role

Silicon Labs is looking for experienced individuals who are fluent in Verilog and have worked on implementing Verilog for communication or signal processing blocks. Experience with microarchitecture design is very strongly desired. Good understanding of Matlab is strongly preferred but is not a must, provided he or she has had used C language as reference code instead. Candidates with high experience especially are expected to be able to guide others. VHDL experience will also be considered. Algorithm design skills, knowledge of OFDM is a plus.Ideal candidate would have designed microarchitecture for several communication systems or signal processing blocks, and would understand various tradeoffs in area and cycle counts. He would have good experience in Matlab and also fixed point design.

Skills/qualifications needed:

• BE/MS/MTech in Electrical Engineering; Specialization in communications or signal processing is a must
• Work experience in related area above 3 years is a must
• Good understanding of Matlab is a must
• Experience with Verilog for communication systems or signal processing blocks is desired
• Experience with WLAN standards is a plus (but not a requirement)
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Team player
