JOB SUMMARY
Marriott has over a dozen Salesforce orgs, including one of the largest Salesforce implementations by number of users with the Empower platform used by over 100,000 associates across Hotels, Customer Engagement Centers, and Sales teams. The candidate will plan, direct, and coordinate activities for highly complex technical projects, managing multiple work streams or releases for major systems. The Project Manager will ensure goals are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters, verifying project goals are accomplished and in line with business objectives.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in information technology project management discipline across diverse application areas and technologies
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience or certification.
- 3+ years’ experience in implementing enterprise application packages in distributed environments.
Preferred:
- Experience managing complex Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud Agile development efforts
- Salesforce certification a plus
- Graduate degree
- Agile and Waterfall methodology experience
- Project Management Certification
- Atlassian (JIRA/Confluence) experience
- Experience working in highly complex and fast-paced environments
- Experience with business process re-engineering
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others
- Strong oral and written communication skills
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Managing Projects
- Plans projects, including cost, schedule, and deliverables to meet business need
- Manages budget for program under direct control
- Serves as liaison between technology resources and business unit
- Acts as interface with Marriott stakeholders for requirements, prioritization, and rationalization
- Interfaces with vendors and service providers to facilitate project completion
- Monitors and determines schedules for information systems projects including testing, documentation and training
- Manages project risks
- Performs business case development/tracking including total project cost
