TITLE: Financial Analyst

DUTIES: Ensure that financial data is in line with internal and external regulations and guidelines such as Siemens Financial Reporting Guidelines or US GAAP. Continuous monitoring of Service Projects and Contracts in terms of cost (labor hours, material confirmation, fleet cost), billings and Gross Margin performance against plan. Service contract/project forecasting which includes, but is not limited to, providing transparent and reliable financial data (e.g. revenue, sales, billings, payments) and projection of sales pipeline. Cost center controlling of area budgets, continuous forecasting and monitoring of costs, and preparation of cost center plans. Support collections of outstanding A/R and identify risks and claim strategies and work with SAM to continuously improve Service contract performance. Preparation of monthly performance review meetings with senior management. Review, approve, and generate invoices for billing accuracy and ensure proper supporting documents are provided timely and accurately. Review of job information prior to closure (invoicing, outstanding A/R, PO commitments, WIP, and UBR). Support bids from a commercial point of view including reviewing the request for proposal for legal terms and conditions, insurance requirements, and bonding requirements, and supporting internal LoA processes. Point of contact for all commercial and financial topics for the area.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign degree equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, and 4 years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation. Must have 3 years of experience with the following skills: Microsoft Office products; SAP; experience working in an organization that is being reorganized or restructured; and prior experience in field/service operations or traffic industry background. Must have 2 years of experience with the following skills: forecasting and budgeting; cost center controlling; creating and processing journal entries; month-end closing processes; financial reporting; and Tableau. Must have 1 year of experience with the following skills: work order and contract analysis; and reviewing discrepancies between Goods Receipts and Invoice Receipts for POs. Approximately 10% travel required

OTHER: Austin TX. 40 hours/week; $77,542/year.
