Job Description
The Content Acquisitions Specialist's responsibilities include providing key administrative support for the Content Acquisitions team and helping to contribute to the success of the department. This role is charged with communication within the department to assure that films acquired are loaded onto the Kanopy platform swiftly and without issues.
Responsibilities:- Maintain Acquisitions databases and enter new and updated licensing terms into rights management systems.
- Assist with basic contract amendments for new title acquisitions and rights updates on existing titles.
- Assist with external content partner communications as needed.
- Prepare reports on key acquisition updates across teams.
- Light scheduling.
- Review new title avails and screen potential acquisitions as needed.
- Assist with other projects as assigned within Content Operations and Acquisitions.
Requirements:- Bachelor’s Degree in related field, or equivalent experience.
- 0 - 3 years of related experience (i.e., content acquisition, account management, communications and sales).
- Ability to communicate effectively and appropriately with partner contacts, outside vendors / contractors and internal staff.
- Confident and energetic; professional and team-oriented sales approach.
- Basic knowledge of the film industry.
- Well organized with strong attention to detail.
