200388421 Apple’s Strategic Data Solutions (SDS) team leads efforts to mitigate fraud, waste and abuse across Apple’s various lines of business. The team has an immediate opening for a dedicated analyst who is interested in working closely with partner teams; understanding their processes and analytic needs; and developing technical solutions that can drive significant impact that benefits Apple. Candidates must work well in collaborative environments, proactively seek to expand their technical capabilities and continuously gain knowledge of complex subject matter. The successful candidate will be highly effective at applying a combination of skills including, but not limited to, strong intuition for business, quantitative / technical analysis, natural curiosity, and the ability to adjust communication styles based on the audience (technical peer reviews through leadership updates).

- Perform data discovery and create proof of concepts
- Perform ad-hoc and reoccurring statistical analyses
- Work with data warehouse architects and software developers to generate and enhance business intelligence solutions for partner teams
- Present results of analyses to business units and senior leadership

Description Analytic •Experience applying analytical techniques that provide innovative solutions to real business problems •Creatively navigate highly ambiguous requirements to deliver best-in-class analytics / business intelligence Technical •Experience with SQL, Hive, Spark and other data systems and tools •Programming skills in Python, Java, C++, or similar language •Experience with visualization techniques and software such at matplotlib, Tableau, etc. Business •Ability to tell meaningful stories with data •Ability to develop valuable partnerships through good interpersonal skills •Excellent verbal / written communication skills •(Desired) Supply chain / operations / manufacturing / engineering / quantitative / financial background Professional •Inquisitiveness and a desire for continuous self-improvement and development of new skills •Proficiency working independently and proactively with partners to drive progress and empower decision-making
