ABOUT THE ROLE Our company is looking for a service integration engineer for our microfactories. In this role, you will be supporting the automation team in developing, testing and validating different automation projects as well as working on-site at customer locations to install and deploy our products. After some on-the-job training, you will get to put your technical skills to use every day in new and challenging situations while you interact with a wide variety of people, machines and settings.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Install, deploy and support our Bright Robotic Cells (BRCs) at a large, key customer site
- Use diagnostic tools and customer feedback to assess hardware and software malfunctions
- Assist in developing and implementing the deployment plan
- Work with project team to deploy and troubleshoot the system applications
- Develop deployment support documentation for customers
- Work with the project management team for project specifications and configurations
- Educate and train customers on device operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
- Analyze and troubleshoot deployment issues on site in a timely manner.
- Act as primary customer contact for deployment and post deployment related inquiries and issues
- Travel to customer sites around 90% of the time (Most of the customers will be located at Ciudad Juarez and San Luis Rio Colorado)
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- At least 2 years of experience in an automation and robotics environment
- At least 3 year of experience in a customer-facing role
- Experience writing technical documentation
- At least 2 years of experience on mechanical, electrical and pneumatic assembly and schematics
- Experience with power tools
- Experience with mechanical measurement and tolerance
- Experience repairing and maintaining robotic controllers, transfer devices, automation equipment, peripheral equipment and mechanical units
- Experience with PLC logic & programming, troubleshooting, and configuration with industry leading vendors (Beckhoff, Mitsubishi, Siemens, Omron, Allen Bradley)
- Knowledge in Serial & Bus Communication protocols: Ethernet/Profinet, RS232/422/485, Modbus, CAN Open, EtherCAT, Profibus, TCP/IP and others
- Ability to program in structured text language, function blocks, and ladder
- Experience with Fanuc & Nachi Robot programming
- Experience in HMI programming
- Highly skilled with electrical, sensors, transductors and pneumatic devices
- Experience and capability giving remote support
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and ascend heights regularly
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Root causes analysis experience and action plans
- Understanding of tools and technology needed to complete repairs
- High level of English
