In this role you will serve as a key business partner and change agent to support Filtration Business and operations in EMEA with financial leadership, providing insights into financial metric performance and driving financial performance without compromising accounting and controls compliance. You will manage, direct, organize, and control the financial activities of the Filtration ledgers in the region. The role will be responsible for protecting the assets of the business, provide overall business counsel and financial guidance necessary to produce a reasonable return while ensuring proper controls are in place.

  • Provide leadership to lead and review the monthly close and forecast performance, drive performance for EMEA Region, ensure clear variance explanation and provide insights to the EMEA business/operations
  • Provide leadership to drive forecast accuracy for the business, identify risks, opportunities and financial forecast deliverables to close gaps
  • Provide leadership in margin and profitability performance, driving cost improvement and proposing actions to improve financial positions and deliverables
  • Drive Working Capital performance and improvement in accordance with profit plan/forecast – DSO days, DPO days, DOH Days
  • Lead Capex spend evaluation and feasibility study and approve capex spending in accordance with business directives. Monitor capex investment return performance alignment to original capex investment plan
  • Provide leadership in Annual Profit Plan and Strategic Plan preparation and presentation
  • Be the leader and advocate for a strong controls environment and ensure SOX, IA, and internal controls compliance to reduce business risk and exposure
  • Develop and mentor the finance team for career growth and development
  • Collaborate with other Eaton finance teams as appropriate, for example:
    • Financial Shared Services (FSS) team for accounting back-office support
    • Corporate Centers of Excellence (COEs) for support on treasury, tax, transfer pricing, legal, ethics, etc.
    • Corporate functions to protect and optimize Filtration business assets
    • Corporate accounting team for closure and filing of statutory reports and respective countries’ legal entity filing compliance
  • Support ad-hoc financial projects
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role
  • Working knowledge with ERP systems in a manufacturing environment
  • Fluency in German and English
  • There is no relocation provided for this role. Candidate must be located within driving distance to one of the sites in Germany: Langenlonsheim, Altlussheim, or Nettersheim

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree
  • CPA/ACCA/CIMA certification
  • At least 10 years of work experience
  • At least 3 years of experience supporting a multi-site or multi-ledger team
  • Previous Manager of People experience
  • Familiarity with MFGPRO, ORACLE, LONGVIEW Kalix, SAP Financial Reporting System, Data Warehouse (OBIEE, Cognos, Power BI) or equivalent reporting system
  • Prior experience in System Implementation or M&A Integration Experience

Position Criteria

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts
  • Ability to prepare, analyze and interpret financial and operations analyses/reports
  • Essential working knowledge of Standard Costing in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of external regulatory bodies as applicable
  • Broad general product and business knowledge to adequately interpret operating results, studies, and analyses
  • General knowledge of all functional areas of the Divisional and Corporate organizations
  • Understanding of the tools currently available on the market which can improve efficiency in all areas of the organization. Some examples include EBE, IT hardware and software; Total Quality Management, Finance best practices, Balance Performance Scorecard, Materials Management Techniques; Purchasing systems, manufacturing technology
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills as a leader with cross border functional team (APAC/EMEA/North America)
  • Agility in learning and managing diverse team
  • Proficiency in MS Office Application for Excel and Powerpoint
