Job Description

We are currently seeking a Senior JAVA Architect to join our Commercial Operations Center of Excellence (COCOE) team. The candidate will be based at any Eaton U.S. Facility and is eligible for a hybrid work setup
Position Overview:
Our AEM (Adobe Experience Manager) platform consists of a well-established team of engineers that focus on delivering meaningful digital experiences. As we continue to build on our capabilities in this space, we are looking to expand our Adobe skillset to support our global marketing teams that use Adobe Experience Manager to engage their end customers.
The Senior JAVA Architect provides high-quality code solutions to meet digital commerce and marketing needs in the implementation, enhancement, and support phase of project-based technology implementations. This Senior Architect shapes and supports technical design strategy, estimates effort, and confidently executes and delivers on projects. Champions AEM internally, establishes standard methodologies, and plays an integral role on a growing team that is focused on delivering business value.

Key responsibilities:
- Plan for future-state technology portfolios and IT program investments
- Develop, communicate, and deploy architecture governance processes
- Drive the application of emerging technologies to current Eaton environments
- Drive solution architecture, ensure technical alignment and facilitate technical solution delivery
- Accountable for maintaining high levels of solution performance, availability and capacity, demonstrating a commitment to quality
- Design and provide solutions to fit the requirements of the project stakeholders, customers, and end users conforming to the standards established by the IT organization
- Assess and direct IT project activities to ensure compliance with established IT and industry standards
Specific Duties:
- Lead Application Domain team(s), driving development and updates for Standards and Patterns
- Solution concept design and estimation to fit business requirements
- Conduct design reviews and architecture assessments to ensure compliance to IT standards
- Develop standards for new technologies, including decision criteria for when to employ new technologies vs. existing
- Event correlation across solution elements, including analysis and resolution; drive shift from reactive to proactive incident management.
- Concise and direct communication with team members, project stakeholders and end-users.
- Collaboration within and across technical teams to design roadmaps; identify and manage technical dependencies.
- Advanced technical skills along with mentorship, coaching, development
- Champion solution flexibility, reuse and legacy-application retirement

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in IT in multiple technology platforms
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise with an enterprise content management system- Adobe AEM 6.x is preferred
- Expertise with one or more Java concepts and patterns including: Java/J2EE, JSP, Sling, JMS, JUnit, Eclipse
- Proficient in translating business requirements into AEM specific solutions. Leverage AEM, other content technologies and integration patterns to solve cross-departmental challenges.
- Proficient in writing code with both JSP overlay and Sightly components.
- Proficient in writing custom services and configuring services with OSGI bundles
- Experience with application server / web server / OS / database understanding (primarily Apache, Unix/Linux, Oracle DB).
- Experience with Adobe Analytics, Adobe Campaign, Adobe Target, Multi-Site Manager, Blueprint, and Language copy
- Experience with application integration technologies such as JSON, RESTful / SOAP Web services and XML
Position Criteria:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience of successfully delivering on all aspects of a technology project, with focus on large web sites and applications
- Proficiency with the English language (written and verbal). Additional language capabilities are a plus
- Requires the ability to work on multiple projects of varying scope and scale
- Requires the ability to handle ambiguous situations and execute upon a direction
- Knowledge of presentation-layer technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, AJAX, Angular, JQuery, XML, and responsive web design/development.
- Knowledge of CRX and Apache Sling, Targeting, various AEM components like MSM, Mobile, I18N, Tagging, Translation
- Knowledge of DevOps and utilization of Docker and OpenShift
- Knowledge of caching environment strategies and content deliver networks (i.e., Akamai, Varnish)
- Knowledge of enterprise search systems (i.e., Endeca, Elastisearch)
- Familiarity with SDLC tools including Git, BitBucket, Jira, Jenkins, SonarQube, Selenium, and Nexus/Artifactory
- Familiarity with the following technologies and integrations is preferred but not required, i.e. Okta, Eloqua, Translation T.com/GLA, Adobe Dynamic Media, Brightcove, and Bullseye

Eaton provides a competitive total rewards package commensurate with applicable skills, knowledge, and experience and consistent with internal and external market practices. The annual salary range for this role is $110,600 - $190,000 a year.
