Our 2023 Social Innovation Impact Internship Programme is now open for applications. All submissions received will be assessed on a continuous basis throughout Summer / Autumn 2022. To be considered, applicants must currently be enrolled in Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Management, Gender Study or NPO management etc. Master's degree is a plus. You must reside in the country where the internship is based, for the duration of the internship and you also must hold the required work authorization. Internship location: Italy Internship duration: 6 months

Your way to impact

The successful candidate will bring new energy to support important social, cultural and business topics in charity verticals, diversity & inclusion, community impact and employee engagement in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. He/She/They will be a critical support to the SEU Enterprise Sales leadership team in driving the Giving strategy expansion in Southern Europe, e.g., assisting new Giving product launches in the market, conducting market research and collecting industry insights in the Giving vertical, connecting with X-function colleagues (e.g. marketing, public relationship, product marketing), and aligning the strategy with evolving market dynamics. In addition, He/She/They will also connect with local nonprofit organizations in driving engagement and awareness of PayPal Giving products and footprints. He/She/They will also be supporting and coordinating key initiatives in diversity and inclusion across various site offices, Paris, Milan and Madrid, in particular to start with pride and gender equality topics and driving further developments in strategic pillars of community impact and employee engagement.

Your day to day

  • Supporting Giving strategy expansion in Southern Europe, including being the local voice to launch Giving Products in France, Italy, Spain and Portugal.
  • Connecting with local nonprofit organizations and supporting top charities in onboarding and utilizing the Giving platform.
  • Coordinating and collaborating with x-function colleagues as local voice for social innovation impact.
  • Driving market insights in giving verticals and provide industry overview to senior leadership team.
  • Identifying, tracking and communicating market insights, dynamics & untapped opportunities.
  • Supporting to organize diversity and inclusion events and initiatives.
  • Driving employee engagement topics & community impact initiatives.

What do you need to bring?

  • Passionate about corporate social responsibility, nonprofit organizations, and diversity & inclusion management, preferably with relevant experiences in one or more of the above fields.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Management, Gender Study or NPO management etc. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated capability to build strong alliances with internal business units. Ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Motivated self-starter, proactive and action oriented. A keen sense of ownership, drive, and scrappiness is a must.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple, simultaneous projects under time pressure.
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal. Italian/French/Spanish proficiency is a plus.
