As an engineer on our team, you’ll work with Booz Allen colleagues and your client to develop and rapidly deploy the next generation of resilient Missile Warning (MW), Tactical Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (TISR), and Environmental Monitoring (EM) capabilities to deter attacks and provide critical information to our warfighters to defeat our enemies in battle. Your customer will trust you to not only test, analyze, evaluate, validate, and verify these systems, but also identify areas requiring urgent mitigation up front and early to develop this system with advanced technology solutions. You Have:

  • 10+ years of experience leading a team performing system engineering on a space-related Major Defense Acquisition Programs, including space, ground, software, or hardware system
  • Experience with leading a team for development of technical specifications, interface control documents, integration plans and schedules, and inter-service support agreements
  • Experience with leading a team to conduct or support space system Preliminary Design Reviews (PDRs), Critical Design Reviews (CDRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and System Verification Reviews (SVRs)
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • Knowledge of systems engineering standards, including IEEE 15288.1 and IEEE 15288.2
  • Ability to communicate and establish collaborative relationships with government clients, Federally Funded Research and Developmental Centers (FFRDC), and associate contractor teammates to achieve program goals
  • Ability to be highly motivated with a dynamic work ethic and a strong desire to contribute to the DoD mission
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience in the Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) mission
  • Experience with leading a team performing systems engineering, integration, and test on space-based remote sensing systems
  • Experience with leading a team using Model-Based Systems Engineering approach to manage system definitions and technical baselines
  • Knowledge of DoD 5000.01/02
  • Knowledge of Agile Methodologies
  • Knowledge of the SBIRS program
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree in an Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or Physics field
  • INCOSE Systems Engineering Professional Certification, including ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP Cer

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

The proposed salary range for this position in Colorado is $130,000 to $160,000. Final salary will be determined based on various factors.
