Job Description
- Technical project management for North American passive safety projects within organization. Responsible for System development in a project(s)
- First point of contact as technical customer interface and engineering lead for customer project(s)
- Technical lead of engineering project team (focused on system, software and application engineering, supported by hardware engineering)
- Ensure system development, validation, and delivery are according to Bosch and external guidelines and processes (e.g. ISO26262, ASPICE)
- Understanding and guiding development team on vehicle features like CAN, Diagnostics, EDR , Security
- Project handling and status documentation according to specified Bosch processes for Customer requirements, system configurations, TCDs,
- Weekly / monthly reporting of project status to Project managers, Customers and line management in US
- Lead software development activities including work package definition, planning and tracking, release planning, resource planning with region, and quality assessments/audits according to Bosch passive safety processes
- Responsible for evaluating/updating customer specifications including support of translating the system requirements into Rational DOORS, evaluating requirement and test coverage, and tracking of software activities / defects
- Coordinate with HW project management to give necessary information related to System /SW for successful pre-series and series release from plant
- Preparation and execution of technical presentations for both internal and external customer meetings whenever needed
- Train/mentor fellow associates, interns, and co-ops
- Support CIP (Continuous Improvement Process) to optimize development processes and day-to-day activities
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer engineering, Mechanical engineering, or Software Engineering
- 2 or more years of experience in technical project management or leading Software component of the project
- 2 or more years of experience in automotive
- 2 or more years of experience on passive safety projects
- 1 or more years of experience with vehicle networking and diagnostics, hands-on (mechanical or electrical) type of experience
- 1 or more years of experience with complete vehicle and automotive EE-Systems
- 1 or more years of experience with vehicle and system test and release procedures in automotive
- 1 or more years of experience in systems / requirements engineering
- Valid driver license
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to structure, moderate, promote collaboration with international teams, negotiate with customer, support global organization, and have good understanding with working in global multicultural projects.
- Strong software engineering exposure & experience embedded Software development
- Strong sense of responsibility and commitment, innovative thinking.
- Capable to work independently in an organized and structured fashion with strong analytical skills that supports a systematic approach to problem resolution and strong communication skills to discuss issues/challenges with global development teams and external customers.
- Knowledge of automotive sector, preferably in the Passive safety systems
- 2 or more years of experience with complete vehicle and automotive EE-Systems
- 2 or more years of experience with vehicle and system test and release procedures in automotive
- 2 or more years of experience in systems / requirements engineering
- Good written / verbal communication and presentation skills to discuss issues / solutions with team and external customer
- Customer oriented mindset
- Good English skills verbal / written (additional languages encouraged)
