Position Summary

Frederic Malle and Kilian have an exciting opportunity to join their Marketing team as Marketing Coordinator, UK and Ireland. The role reports to the Marketing Manager.
These luxury fragrance brands are growing quickly with further expansion and strong growth planned for the remainder of 2022 and into 2023. We are looking for a proactive and ambitious Marketing Coordinator to help support this journey and help these brands grow to their full potential.
The Marketing Coordinator role is an integral opening in the Frederic Malle and Kilian brands, working across multiple aspects of Marketing and touching all departments. The primary objective for the Marketing Coordinator is to support the Marketing team in the timely and effective delivery of the UK Marketing and consumer engagement strategy, execution of the marketing calendar and media objectives, with a digital-first approach.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Strategy

• Supports delivery of Frederic Malle & Kilian brand strategy, global vision and UK themes
• Delivers the Marketing calendar and programmes and assists in the strategic mapping of the cadence of launches
• Inputs on strategic initiatives such as annual and new launch pricing, competitor analysis, forecasting and consumer engagement decisions
• Leads aspects of media execution and supports & implements wider media strategy and vision

Marketing Calendar and Programmes

• Plays a key role in the delivery of the timely and seamless execution of the UK marketing calendar. Supports the strategic development of the calendar, highlighting locally relevant opportunities, reviewing OCDs and striving to maximise innovation
• Supports and adds insight to forecasting process for new launches, annual offerings, collateral and merchandising programmes. Attends Global forecast alignment and sell-thru calls to review opportunities and feedback performance acting as a champion for the UK region
• Leads the implementation of the Marketing calendar of launches and programmes, responsible for the allocation and delivery of NSV items and samples. Oversees the allocation of monthly collateral and sampling deliveries, and ad-hoc field requests
• Collaborates with the wider Frederic Malle and Kilian and Supply teams to effectively and efficiently track and deliver the calendar of launches with weekly reviews of shipments & involvement in monthly Demand Reviews. Owns the cascade of new launch updates, risks, opportunities & direction changes to all to ensure all aligned in the vision for each launch
• Supports with the maintenance of the Trade Marketing calendars and retailer relations
• Creates and owns the development of the bi-annual strategy presentations for retailers
• Manages the Samples and Testers database, determining strategic usage for the samples and ensuring they are delivered to store on time according to this strategy
• Visits London stores frequently, and attends quarterly regional store visits to gather insights, support teams, feedback and to build relationships with key doors

Media

• Supports the Marketing Manager in devising and executing the 360 media strategy, adopting a digital first approach and maximising all investments
• Responsible for all social campaigns end-to-end, overseen by the Marketing Manager. Leads and initiates first-class campaigns from major launches through to high traffic moments and more granular opportunities, trialing new platforms and formats, leveraging consumer insights to build target audiences, and pushing for channel-inspired content to engage both loyal & prospecting consumers
• Supports delivery of any print campaigns, strategy and production of advertising insertions
• Follows competitor’s media platforms and campaigns and includes an overview on their media campaigns in the monthly NPD competitor review. Plus highlights media campaigns across Workplace to engage the field teams
• Leverages internal tools and systems to inform and adapt strategy

Consumer Engagement

• Supports any CRM projects with the Marketing Manager, including creation of custom audiences for media campaigns and the potential launch of CRM on the Kilian & EDPFM brands
• Attends training and keeps up to date on the ELC CRM systems, D2C and Braze, to enable both analysis of and pulling data for required CRM campaigns
• Delivers high touch on and off counter activity and events to align to new and seasonal product launches or focuses. Leads larger scale, off counter VIP events including developing and overseeing the production of tools for more local activations
• Works in partnership with lead retail groups to support their events and initiatives, creating sound relationships to build strong collective campaigns upon
• Supports the delivery of branded pop ups, installations and sites with the tools and theatre to elevate the brand, fuel brand awareness and recruit new consumers
• Manages the Christmas and yr round gifting programmes of collateral and consumer facing materials, monitor and report on successes and learns
• Support New Door Openings with tester orders, theatre for launch and merchandising support when needed for VM team

Insights and Analysis

• Supports the Marketing Manager on the annual pricing review project and quarterly new product pricing analysis. Researches competitive pricing information, UK landscape, key corridors and market insights to inform future strategy and brand positioning.
• Collates and circulates the monthly NPD luxe fragrance competitor report, including insights into on competitor activity, innovation, major programmes, media and events to ensure both brands remains competitive and market leading
• Proactively delivers Post Campaign Analysis reports in timely manner to highlight successes, learnings and the overall impact of the launch to the wider business. Supports global requests and reports to guide future worldwide strategy and champion UK needs

Communications

• Maintains the Frederic Malle & Kilian Marketing Workplace page posting regular updates and responding to queries
• Oversees the development and management of communication tools to field teams including, order forms, self-service and Pricing tools

Miscellaneous

• Builds sound relationships with both the global teams and UK brand & corporate functions
• Implements the fiscal yr budget plans, adapting where necessary and raising Pos and entering these into the budgets in a timely manner
• Assists in preparing for Sales Conferences, retailer and external meetings
• Supports with administrative tasks and store deliveries where needed to drive the brand performance
• Delivers ad hoc projects upon request


Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Successful candidates will have experience of working in a marketing function at Assistant level or above and preferably within the Cosmetics or Luxury Industry, ideally with previous retail experience. Passion for the Beauty industry is essential; the Marketing Coordinator is responsible for being an expert in their field, delivering new launches and campaigns so we remain market leaders.
The individual will have excellent organisational, verbal and written communication skills and be confident in presenting, in addition to possessing strong administrative qualities. They will be computer literate and proficient in MS Office, particularly with Excel and PowerPoint. The individual will be highly numerate and analytical and should possess excellent attention to detail. A team player, successful candidates will adopt a flexible approach to projects and will be capable of working across multiple brands and projects to deadline. The candidate must have strategic vision and also exhibit a keen ability to identify issues, develop creative options, and push for a resolution of unresolved issues.
Building collaborative relationships with internal teams, global, field teams and suppliers is integral to success. Strong interpersonal skills, proactivity and a positive can-do attitude are essential to the role. As a small team, the ideal candidate will need to be excited by the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, alongside all functions and departments.
