Job Responsibilities
In this role you will support engineering projects to deliver and maintain Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) for Viasat’s Commercial Aviation In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) products. Your responsibilities will include: Development of structural installations and piece part designs to support the deployment of metallic and composite components, developing and maintaining mechanical design documentation, and disposition for in-service and manufacturing deviations. In this role you will work directly with civil aviation certification authorities, Viasat engineering and program teams, and external engineering subcontractors to develop, maintain, and approve our installations for a world-wide airline customer base. In addition, you will have the opportunity to apply your mechanical engineering skills to a multi-function engineering team and communications skill during verbal and written interactions with the customer, partners, and Viasat leadership. You will need to be available to participate in on-call rotation and support on-call escalations.
