PayPal is seeking a marketer to drive and support direct response marketing for its Global Merchant Lending products including PayPal Working Capital business loan and/or PayPal Business Cashback Mastercard in the U.S. You will play a central role driving results in all direct response channels (PayPal properties, digital advertising, email, direct mail, social, etc.) and contribute to marketing strategy for key product and campaign launches. The Marketing Specialist we are seeking will have experience across multiple marketing communications disciplines and will be well versed in direct response marketing campaign coordination and execution.

Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to drive marketing campaigns across various direct response channels.
  • Manage multiple marketing campaigns on a routine basis to ensure on-time execution.
  • Drive project plan for new marketing initiatives with various parts of PayPal organization (product lead, marketing operations, creative) to keep projects on track.
  • Contribute to targeting, messaging, positioning, and promotion strategy.
  • Write creative briefs and interface with creative team to produce engaging assets across all channels.
  • Execute, monitor, and measure marketing campaigns; detect and resolve campaign issues.
  • Execute market research.
  • Present results and insights to business leaders.
  • Compile regular reports of campaign performance and results.
  • Ensure campaign implementation follows brand and legal guidelines and that campaigns adhere to quality controls.

Requirements

The candidate must be able to navigate a heavily matrixed environment, where achievement is dependent on the ability to collaborate with all parties in a positive, productive, and transparent way.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing – financial services background in SMB, business loan, and/or business credit card is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage several priorities simultaneously on tight timelines.
  • A proactive approach amongst multiple priorities and multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills, including developing and presenting excellent analysis in Excel and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Proven ability to utilize merchant and enterprise insights to generate solutions.
  • Proven track record of collaboration and influence in a matrixed environment
  • Adaptability to changing business objectives and constraints.
  • Keen sense of urgency and the ability to “get things done.”
  • Strong interpersonal & influencing skills to drive business priorities within the larger organization as well as to work with cross-functional partners to win as one team.
