The iCloud Design team is seeking an experienced product designer to help drive the evolution of iCloud as a core part of the broader Apple Services suite of products.
Key Qualifications
Key Qualifications
- 8+ years work experience with a focus on product design and UI across a variety of platforms, including web
- Expert knowledge of user-centered design and visual design principles
- A strong design portfolio showcasing UX, UI, and visual design work for responsive web apps
- An understanding of HTML and CSS
- Experience designing for iOS and macOS is highly desired, but not a requirement
- A deep understanding of the Apple design aesthetic, UI, and history
- A great eye for detail, demonstrating creative and innovative problem-solving
- Enthusiasm for an iterative design process, inspired by group critique
- Highly skilled in Sketch, Keynote, Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design tools.
- Able to clearly communicate concepts and designs through sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity comps, and prototypes
- Expertise documenting interaction details, visual design specifications and QA of the implemented product
- Able to function independently and in a highly cross-functional team environment with solid collaboration skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Comfortable working across multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Flexible and productive in the face of ambiguity and change during a project
- Previous experience working in cloud services is a plus, but not a requirement
Description
Description The iCloud Design team is looking for an extraordinary product designer to evolve the iCloud product on the web and as a core part of Apple’s broader services ecosystem. You flourish in a dynamic, ever-changing, and deadline-driven environment. You are a natural collaborator and an excellent communicator, able to develop and present design ideas in a large team environment. You will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Engineering, Product Marketing, and Senior Management. You should possess extraordinary visual and user interface design skills, as well as user-centered design principles. You have an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details. While exercising a good eye for aesthetics, you are able to grasp and distill highly complex issues and translate them into clean, focused, understandable solutions. Strong communication skills and an ability to stay highly organized is critical. You should be a self-starter, self-motivated, able to work independently, and perform multiple task.
