Project Accountant

Do you want to shape and contribute to the future of healthcare? We are looking for an experienced candidate to join our team as a Project Accountant.

Working within the Enterprise Services (ES) Finance Team this role provides financial and commercial support to our high value, high-profile long-term projects working with external commercial and NHS partners.

Reporting to the Senior Commercial Project Manager, the Project Accountant will be involved in a wide range of tasks with key focus on supporting the planning & reporting activities, budgets, forecasts, and month end closing process.

The location for this role is flexible, with some travel (approximately 3 days per month) to our head office in Camberley, Surrey.

What are my responsibilities?

• Focus on Planning & Reporting topics by supporting the Senior CPM in related tasks to include the regular forecasting and budgeting process

• Provide regular insight and analysis on our income statement, balance sheet and capital investment planning

• Support the governance model by producing analysis, reports and balance sheet reconciliations required to meet applicable I C FR controls

• Be our productivity champion giving the topic the required focus across the business, ensuring all relevant measures are reported correctly to exceed annual targets

• Provide support to the Commercial Project Manager team in project controlling tasks

• Drive Digitalisation as owner of the existing planning and reporting processes by looking for areas of obvious improvement

• Produce high quality management information as requested, being flexible enough to support time constrained ad hoc requests

Desirable Skills and Experience

• CCAB part qualified or newly qualified

• Good commercial acumen

• Strong presentation and communication skills

• Strong IT user with experience of Excel, Power Point, SAP Power BI, KNIME

• Ability to handle large data sets and provide insight beyond the numbers

• Passion for digitalisation

• Self-motivated with a strong growth and change mindset
