Job Description

Description:Conducts technical analysis of product implementations, modifications and enhancements to product in accordance with specific customer specifications and implementations. Troubleshoots technical problems and issues, determines technical solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends actions to company or customer representatives for coordinative product solution. Assesses product needs in accordance with customer specifications. Conducts technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors and company representatives. Acts as local on-site representative to customer's organization.
Program specific job description - Work location Los Angeles, CA airport area
• Performs depot level repairs, modifications, refurbishments of specific components of military tactical and training systems
• Operates automated or general purpose test equipment (oscilloscopes, multi-meters, network analyzers and waveform generators) and uses knowledge of basic AC/DC theory to read, interpret engineering drawings and schematics to conduct fault isolation of faulty components.
• Completes work IAW engineering drawings, schematics, Repair Component Procedures (RCPs), Field Advisory Bulletins (FABs), and Contactor Installation Procedures (CIPs)
• Performs test and checkout of mechanical, electrical, structural, hydraulic subsystems and complete systems.
• Performs electrical rework/repair of cable harnesses, electrical wires, and circuit card assemblies.
• Solder certification to J-STD-001, IPC-7711/IPC-7721 for thru-hole and surface mount components
• Document work in automated maintenance data collection system
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or Equivalent work experience
• Ability to obtain a D.O.D. security clearance (SECRET)
Desired Skills:
• Experience with hand tools and performing mechanical rework to technical documentation
• Ability to solder and pass solder certification
• Ability repair cables and harnesses
• Ability to properly safety wire assemblies and connectors
• Ability to work with hazardous materials
• Ability to mix and weigh chemicals
• Ability to lift 35 pounds
• Prior experience performing electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting and repairs
• Experience with hand tools performing maintenance
