ABOUT THE ROLE AND OUR TEAM:

The UK New Business team is rapidly growing and tasked with bringing new vendors onto the Hitched platform, through proactively sourcing customers and new opportunities.

As a Team Lead: Suppliers, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coaching and mentoring of the Suppliers team - motivating and coaching them to meet and exceed sales targets. This experienced and impassioned Team Lead (you!) will help your mini-team and the entire growth channel exceed goals each month. You will bring your proven sales expertise and best practices to assist your team on a regular basis. Be ready to work alongside your peers with call shadowing, presenting in small groups and in sharing your enthusiasm for what we do best...onboarding new wedding pros into our advertising programs! You will have day-to-day responsibility for up to 4 direct junior reports, but with regular support and management shadowing from the Head of Sales who will oversee the entire team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support the Sales Manager/Head of Sales in managing the team
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day line management of the sales reps on the suppliers team, with overall management support from Head of Sales
  • Maintain strong performance standards in metrics and quota attainment as an individual contributor on the New Business team.
  • Showcase best practices to the broader team re: sales strategies in team meetings each week, reporting on goals and figures, showcasing new commercial initiatives etc.
  • Attend regular meetings with Head of Sales and other Department Heads to discuss commercial best practices, plan future growth and sustain team performance
  • Assist team members on day to day issues & be able to answer operational questions in a quick manner (own the slack channel when the AD is not available).
  • Mentor those on the team with call shadowing and role playing.
  • Host monthly round table meetings on various topics
  • Help promote a results-oriented team culture and make recommendations for ongoing team incentives, contests and oversee social initiatives (ie: virtual happy hours, weekly pump-up emails, celebrating wins, etc).

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVE:

  • A strong phone presence, with excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Native or Fluent in English
  • The confidence to make regular calls, and remain resilient in a competitive market
  • Be IT literate and keep our systems up to date with all relevant information
  • You’ll be working as part of a small team so be a good team player, and be someone others want to work with
  • A confident people person who demonstrates the ability to learn and grow their skills into becoming an effective, confident people manager
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Commitment to professional development and a motivation to make things happen
