That’s why we are actively seeing a Manager of Client Services with a passion for people management and partnership with sales to join our dynamic and growing Client Services team serving Media & Entertainment advertisers. As part of the performance ad sales team, you will be a critical partner in both supporting Roku sales and working externally with clients, while creating & driving process and execution cross-functionally with internal teams.

In this role, you will lead a team of direct reports and act as the key point of contact for all internal client-facing relationships on pre-sale Media & Entertainment accounts. You will leverage a deep understanding of the client services role to lead a team of client services managers who would manage the day-to-day pre-sale deliverables alongside their sales counterparts. You will be responsible for team wide initiatives, standard operating procedures, and ensuring the team is properly supporting business development to meet revenue goals.

The role includes taking a leadership role to coordinate efforts between other cross-functional teams as necessary. The position frequently interfaces with sales, sales operations, sales development, product and analytics teams. An ability to build and lead highly efficient teams and the ability to build strong relationships with partners in the Roku organization will be key to the candidate’s success.

The ideal candidate will have endless curiosity and can pair a global mindset with locally relevant execution. You should be a gritty problem solver and self-starter who can drive programs with the product and commercial teams within Roku and across external strategic partner organizations. Balancing hard and soft skills, including the ability to respond quickly to changing business needs, will be a requirement for success.

What you’ll be doing

You'll be responsible for direct day-to-day management of client service managers team including defining role responsibilities, cross-team collaboration, workflows, and career + skill development.

  • Demonstrate keen time-management skills and the ability to work independently while leveraging departmental resources, policies and procedures
  • Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and influential written and verbal communication skills. Exceptional ability to build relationships, usually by phone or email
  • Proven track record of successful cross-functional collaboration in order to deliver on shared goals and objectives
  • Positive and confident disposition when balancing deadlines for multiple customers (internal and external)
  • Contribute to definition and design of tools, standard operating procedures, and processes
  • Lead the hiring process for client services managers in order to secure quality talent. Participate in hiring process for other roles across ad sales revenue operations teams as needed
  • Focus on ensuring client services manager engagement and motivation remains high. Responsible for addressing and course correcting performance or staff issues, as well as onboarding new team members
  • Develop a keen understanding of how the Roku platform and unique ad products will deliver value in support of the clients advertising goals
  • Collaborate with ad sales AEs on new business sales presentations and QBRs, thoughtful and creative client recommendations, and driving upsells

We’re excited if you have

5+ years experience in account management/client services at an ad tech company or media planning at an agency, with at least 2 years of people management. Full sales cycle experience preferred.

  • Experience in display and video advertising at a premium publisher, platform, or agency
  • Background of working with Media & Entertainment or performance advertisers/ brands
  • Experience in programmatic video executions and workflows; hands-on experience with a DSP is preferred
  • Experience and knowledge of core performance marketing platforms – Google Adwords, Facebook Ads Manager
  • At least 2 years of experience managing a team of media planners or client services managers
  • Analytical, project management, deadline-drive, and process-oriented personality
  • Self-starter, comfortable working in fast-paced, growing environment
  • Collaborator mentality, willing to proactively work to gain insights and grow marketplace
  • Resourceful and solutions oriented
  • Experience with Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint
