Description:

As part of LM Aero Simulation and System Test (SST), Air Combat Simulation (ACS), Operations Team, the candidate will provide integration support for F-22 Operation Flight Program (OFP) testing. Testing is aircraft software system focused utilizing COTS resources and SST F-22 and/or F-35 Man-in-the-Loop (MITL) and headless simulation capabilities. Primary tasks include performing lab system integration, configuration management, documentation, and system troubleshooting to solve internal and external customers’ technical challenges. This role will enable internal growth of software test capabilities, improve simulation operations for MITL external customers, and support data capture, analysis and delivery processes. Position will work closely with integrators from other SST teams to meet ACS Operations laboratory system requirements. The role is diverse, will develop a broad understanding of 5th Gen high fidelity simulation, and will help ACS System Test Engineers translate customer requirements into integrated solutions. Position will have the technical lead for aspects of the ACS test suite and administrative responsibilities for portions of ACS lab governance (configuration management, security, equipment accountability, access control, and procedural documentation).

Basic Qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in the US as a permanent resident. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. This position requires a final Secret Clearance to start.
- STEM degree, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. -
- Experience creating documentation, processes, and procedures.
Desired Skills:
Modeling and simulation integration experience.
Experience with multiple operating systems.
Experience with software testing.
Experience with fighter avionics, fighter data-link systems, fighter subsystem and sensor integration, and test planning of the same.
Experience with fifth generation aircraft (F-22, F-35, or B-2) system integration and subsystem testing.
Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Software Development background and/or experience.
Potential and desire to perform system level integration.
Experience with trouble shooting system problems.
Strong communication skills.
