AppleCare’s Strategic Programs & Systems User Experience team is seeking an expert UX designer to create solutions that increase customer satisfaction, drive cost savings and cultivate innovation for both Apple employees and Customers. The ideal candidate knows how to align business strategy with human interaction and usability methodologies for a global audience. Use your knowledge and experience to define task and transactional focused user experiences that delight users and generate workflow efficiencies, for today and tomorrow. This position will be located onsite in either Austin, TX or Santa Clara Valley, CA.

- Proven ability to define new approaches to complex design problems and convey solutions in the form of presentations, wireframes, click-through prototypes and design specifications.
- Must be process driven, possess strong interaction design skills, careful attention to detail and have a solid understanding of user centered design principles.
- Align business requirements, Design Thinking/User Centered Design methodology and technologies to create low and high fidelity interactive prototypes.
- Strong understanding of HTML, JavaScript & CSS capabilities.
- Strong understanding of macOS and iOS human interface capabilities.
- Experience working with Sketch, Figma and Adobe Photoshop, or equivalent applications.
- Experience defining and monitoring success through analytics and metrics.
- Successful history of collaboration, communication, leadership and presentation skills.
- Optimally discuss design ideas and communicate project updates to senior management on a regular basis.
Description
Description As a User Experience lead you will be involved throughout all phases of product and service creation: business & user needs analysis, low fidelity prototyping (wireframing), usability testing and following deployment, engaging with users to monitor and measure success. You’ll evangelize design and product quality within diversely skilled project teams and be a motivator for positive change. The ideal candidate wants to engage with users to understand current and future needs and seeks their feedback on proposed solutions, throughout design and development project phases. User Experience designers works closely with their User Experience team peers, business and technical team partners to elicit design feedback and validation. Accessibility and inclusive design are critically important to Apple. Accessibility best practices and internal Accessibility standards should be reflected in all design solutions so that all users are included. The successful candidate will define best in class user experiences that reflect Apple’s Human Interface design and technology standards.
Education & Experience
Education & Experience Background in Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Computer Science or Bachelor's Degree in a related field. 5+ years professional experience.

- Experience designing solutions for both Enterprise and Consumer Customers.
- Experience in graphic design and creation of UI visual assets.
- Experience employing different user research methods and creation of interview study guides.
