The PayPal Invest Engineering Operational Excellence (SecDevOps) team is building a set of new capabilities to be deployed in AWS to power stock trading experience for our clients like PayPal and Venmo. In the coming quarters, PayPal plans to add new features and enhancements to the app, including investment capabilities to enable customers to grow money and invest it in things like individual stocks and other assets. We are looking for an experienced, growth-mindset DevOps Engineer to join this high-growth team. • Job Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement next generation cloud platforms in a hybrid cloud setting to support the new PayPal Invest trading platform
  • Act as key member of the team dedicated to solving difficult challenges and providing high-level support for continuous delivery to public cloud infrastructure within PayPal Invest
  • Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure as Code, using CloudFormation, Terraform, or other tools
  • Architect and automate cloud native technologies, deploying application and provisioning infrastructure
  • Architect cloud native CI/CD workflows and tools
  • Automate and improve development and release processes
  • Identify technical problems and developing software updates and ‘fixes’

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering and 5+ years related industry experience.

• • 4+ yrs experience building infrastructure tools and systems for large scale cloud environment.
  • 4+ yrs experience provisioning infrastructure and Infrastructure as code
  • 4+ yrs Experience with CI/CD workflows or pipelines, Argo being a bonus
  • Possess strong communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Hands’ on experience with Microservices architecture and distributed application architechture, such as containers, Kubernetes, Docker, or serverless technology ​
  • Working experience with trading domain and cloud will be an added advantage.
